My live journal is a place that I speak on my intentions: as they come to pass, should have been, never were, might someday be, and/or are. I use this space to hold myself accountable to not only the language that I speak but also to the contexts in which my words are enacted.
While I like to use this space to reflect as well as to keep communication lines open, I also like the idea of offering something that might be of practical value to a reader or 2 - especially in terms of strategies and methods for increasing productivity in the pursuit of personal, parental, organizational, and creative endeavors. I hope that to keep a record of such ideas (developed or discovered) will eventually offer an interesting history of both personal and cultural salience.
I'm a partner, para-professional, parent of pets and two sweet peas. My partner is Bill, a pseudo-corporate type, who often identifies as a Taoist pagan, was a chef (back in the day) and has, on more than one occasion, saved my life.
My para-profession is/was/will be teaching. I've taught little people art and bigger people ethnic-communication-education stuffs. Teaching has given my life purpose and perspective.
Our housemates are a brood of 4 rejected, but lovingly rescued, 4-legged friends --"the boys": Orion & Max (dogs) and "the girls": NitNoy & Noelle (cats). In 2005, we added another housemate to the bunch. Adele didn't quite make it as a "Dog" but instead was born in the year of the Blue Phoenix/Rooster. So now it's 2 dogs, 2 cats, 1 ox, 1 rooster, 1 rat and 1 snake...so far everyone lives - and lives well.
I identify as biracial, bipolar, and bicultural and may often speak on boundary crossing as my experiences allow.
I am a fan of alliteration, amusement, and all things adhesive.
